Aren't you proud of your pole dancing pics?

I know I am!

My pole dancing pics are like my little diplomas... I usually work so much to properly perform a move that once I finally get it, I want to see myself in a picture to confirm my achievement.

I am accumulating more and more of little achievements so I decided to share them to show off a little.

Not only this... Taking pictures of yourself is very useful for improving your how nicely you can perform a trick. Take pictures of yourself, look at yourself and compare yourself to the best pole dancers

What can you work on?

  • Completely straighten your legs, if you need to
  • Point your feet and your toes.
  • Verify the points of contact of the pole with your body. This can make a big difference between success or not.
  • Verify your hand placement.
  • Look at your head placement. This will determine if your picture is a simple, technical photo or a beauty shot picture.

Try it and join me so we can show off together.

I'm gonna post my pictures here and feel free to comment on them. When you're ready for it, post yours too!

Enjoy!

If you got it flaunt it! So show off your pole dancing moves! Share your pole dancing pictures!

Handstand  My Handstand!! Is a really easy move to get down from the pole :)
Any tips to make it look better much appreciated

xx

Horizontal Splits  Oh! This 'evolution' is really funny, cause first I learned to do it holding the pole with one hand. Now I can do it not holding the pole with my hands ...

Plank  Hmmm... Plank!

Lay back  Correct me if I'm wrong with the name. This one seems very easy, but I keep on turning... I don't feel extremely stable :s

Cross knee release  This one is often abbreviated as CKR. I prefer the cross ankle release, but this one is safer. Start with this one if you're considering one of the two....

Basic invert  Squeeze those legs ladies.. and men ;)

Happily transitioning  Well I was coming out of a hip old I think and just laughing at my clumsiness but I think the picture is still cute.

Swan  It's not my best swan, but here it is. I guess a smile would help ;)

Superinvert  The superinvert is like a shoulder mount when you finished mounting it :o I like it. A bit scary... just don't look down!

Shoulder mount stall  I love this move. I just feel so strong when I do it... And it looks nice too!

Candlestick  This move is really demanding on your stabilizing muscles. If you're having difficulty with this one, a little ab and oblique strengthening will be helpful ...

Cute little bomb  This move is just so cute! I would pinch it's cheek if it was a person!

Rubber pencil  I think I saw this move being referred to as the lunch box... Am I right? Anyway I love anything contortion like, so I'm very happy with this one :D

Flag  Ooooooo! That one was hard to get on camera... on my weaker side on top of that. But I just had to place my lower arm properly on my side and it got better....

Extended butterfly  I think that move is so sexy! When I started being able to do it, I just kept on doing it over and over again. I feel so powerful when I do this move. Nice ...

Another bow and arrow  I think I like that move lol. So here again with the bow and arrow doing my thing...

The drop maybe... Bow and arrow variation  This variation of the bow and arrow I came up with myself. I mean, maybe it already exists, but I never saw anyone doing it before I tried it.

It looks ...

Pole sit  The first time I tried this one, I was really surprised at how much force you have to develop in your legs to squeeze that pole.

But it's all good now ...

miss self taught  Learning from home, I have a static pole and am self taught w/ you tubes help and I can use all the help I can get.

The Gemini  I love this move because it just looks so fabulous when u have the correct posture and it just looks so beautiful when its done correctly.

Butterfly Invert (Probably a mistake)  I am trying on a new move called Butterfly Invert, but I seem to make a mistake. I think it's extended butterfly invert? I don't know. :P

PEACE-N-LOVE INC  THIS IS A PHOTOSHOOT FOR A NATIONAL MAGAZINE. THIS IS ALSO MY VERY FIRST MODELING JOB.(YAY!) I HAVE BEEN DANCING FOR 7 YEARS, AND TEACHING FOR 3. THEY ...

My first no hands move  This was my first no hands move ever!

Broken pencil  Haha! My legs are too long for the camera!

Cross ankle release  Often abbreviated as the CAK. I love that move. I'm getting more and more comfortable doing it now. Yay!

Flatline scorpio  I am not completely flat, but hey... It still looks good ;)

Jamilla  This is my go to move after scorpio or butterfly. Simple, useful, nice... I love it!

Bridge  I think I never arched so much for this one... My legs do under the horizontal line, wow! ( I'm impressed at myself)

Boomerang hold  This one is also called the upright V. Nice one to show off my legs ;) Again, I little smile would do this picture good...

Shoulder mount straddle  Practising the shoulder mount got me so strong. I like any variation of it.

Scorpio... Another one!  This is another scorpio picture, this one, with my leg straight. Love it!

Scorpio   Again, some people call this one the gemini and others the scorpio. Technically, it's the inside leg hang. Sexy no?

Artistic inverted curcifix  I was having fun with my arms, being "artistic". Came out quite nice :)

Gemini (outside leg hang)  Ok... This move some call it the gemini some others call it the scorpio... Technically it's the outside leg hang. That's why, again, I prefer technical ...

Crucifix  I'm laughing because I didn't know what to do with my arms. Hehe!

Chopper  This is a move that reminds me of the times I did silk in circus school. It was more a transition move though.

Pencil  Hmmm...Pencil...

Butterfly on another angle  Here's the butterfly on a different angle and not as arched as in my other picture. I still love it though!

Bow and arrow, contortion variation  Really this move deserve a name of it's own. Maybe it already exists... Let me know with a comment if you know.

Anyway I first saw the Youtube sapphirecatzeye ...

Arched pencil  I never saw a name for that move, but, technically speaking, I am doing the pencil and I'm arched. I prefer technical terms really. Less confusing. Or ...

Arched butterfly... Love it!  So this butterfly is more arched than the other ones I usually do. Ain't it nice? I love that move!

Scary! Tha caterpillar...  I was very scared to learn that move... Lifting your hips away from the pole has something nerve racking about it. Anyway, I went step by step and I can ...

Butterfly  Me again, Sabine, doing a butterfly. It's pretty dark, but I like the silhouette and I love that move. Especially the extended butterfly. It's a really ...

Attitude ankle spin  This is me, Sabine, the author of the Pole Dancing Expression site, doing an ankle spin in an attitude position. It was somewhere in September, October,...

Bow and arrow... one of my first ones  This is me practising at home.

I took the courage to try the bow and arrow after watching Jamilla Deville's Art of pole collection. She explains it ...
